Overlooking Soquel Creek, this rustic, barn-style home takes full advantage of the site. Surrounded by orchards, their 5500 sq. ft. home incorporates craftsman-style elements: vaulted great-room with rough sawn trusses; custom birch cabinets with etched glass; water washed Flagstone fireplace; hydronic radiant heated slate and oak floors; and hand-made bronze hardware. Together with the owners, we also replicated their families’ Midwestern-style screen porch with custom redwood windows and doors. We later built a 1900 sq. ft. barn that serves the working orchards and organic farm.
